Welcome to my website.

I am a figurative artist based in the UK. Although I appreciate many aspects of life, it is only people that I love and that I continue to be fascinated by. Unlike many painters I don’t see things and want to paint them. My imagery arises out of my life experience either directly or vicariously from the arts and media - but please don’t take them literally, they are almost always metaphorical. I only paint to please myself. To everyone’s astonishment (not least my own) I continue to enjoy my long life as an artist without ever having had to accept commissions or to repeat images. Thankfully some galleries respect this and because of my long track record of consistent quality and output I have been fortunate to be able to exhibit and sell my artwork throughout my life.
